Symphony for a Deck of Cards (2015)

Symphony for a Deck of Cards is a 4 part, 17 minute symphony written based on generative ideas based on chance from a deck of cards. It explores many different ideas extended from 2014's ... and unto you I bless you... in the same key.

Movement I: King of Hearts

First movement involves an evolution of a drone based off chance. Influences include Stars of our Lid & Ross Edwards

Movement II: 5 of Spades

An extension of a small piano etude, used to bridge Mvt I & III

Movement III: 8 of Diamonds

Peak movement, with influences from Hans Zimmer, Max Richter, and A Winged Victory for the Sullen

Movement IV: 2 of Clubs

Ambient based last movement, designed to slowly shed layers and fade out. Main influence for this movement was Bing & Ruth
