2017: Piano Deconstruction

Major recording project. Recorded a 1 hour piano improvisation through a stereo pair of C414's through a pre-amp cranked up for a dark, analogue distortion sound, the piece was crafted by hand into 2 sections.

First section features percussive elements influenced by Nicolas Jaar's Fight & James Blake's Sparing the Horses from EQ's samples of the sustain pedal.

The second section is a mass layered ambient soundscape, influenced by Tim Hecker's Dropped Pianos
